EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Najia Doucette, of New Iberia, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Doucette, 24, was killed in after she was struck by a vehicle late Wednesday night in Baton Rouge.
According to reports, Doucette had exited a Hyundai Sonata to retrieve a lost item on Interstate 110 in Baton Rouge, when her vehicle was rear ended by a Chevrolet Silverado. Doucette was struck during the collision.
Doucette, who was identified by local press as “Naijia” Doucette, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
