WOOD COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Cody Shammo, of Gibsonburg, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Wood County.
Shammo, 30, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Scott Township.
According to reports, Shammo was operating a Chevrolet Silverado on CR-32 near CR-11 in Risingsun, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then over-corrected and rolled over.
Shammo died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
