MONROE COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Ronnie VanSteenkiste Amador, of Blissfield, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal vehicle crash in Monroe County.

Amador, 24, was killed in an early Wednesday morning single-vehicle crash in Riga Township.

According to reports, Amador was operating a vehicle on South County Line Highway near Ottawa Lake Road in Riga Township, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway overnight. The vehicle then entered a culvert.

Amador was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

According to records, Amador was an Administrative Assistant at Adrian College. She was also a Firefighter at Riga Township Fire Department, according to her Facebook.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
