ALLEN PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Cody Allen Reeves, of Sugartown, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Allen Parish.
Reeves, 35, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Pitkin early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Reeves was operating a Dodge pickup truck on Highway 112 near Soapstone Road in Pitkin, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a tree and rolled over.
Reeves, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
