San Diego KFMB News 8 Editor Former Reporter Jane Morton Dies Suddenly

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — KFMB Weekend Assignment Desk Editor and former San Diego reporter, Jane Morton, of has died suddenly, according to a social media posting by a coworker.

Morton was 60.

Jane wore many hats and is remembered for her time in radio working for KOGO, a News Reporter for CBS 8 San Diego and Desk Editor for XETV (CW) in San Diego.

Her husband Jim also worked in Radio. Jane had a twin brother, who was a teacher in China. She was born in England and lived in Escondido. I last spoke to her Sat. May 14 before she went on leave, and we still don’t know how she passed, but she is dearly remembered for her candor, excellent news judgment and genuine heart of gold

A cause of death was not provided.
