SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Andre Crist, of Sanford, Florida, has been identified as the suspect arrested in the Thursday murder of his Seminole County landlord, Cliff Perard.
Perard, 38, was attempting to evict the tenant from a Sanford property, when 51-year-old Crist opened fire, striking Perard and another man around 10 a.m. Thursday.
According to reports, police responded to a home in Sanford on a call of shots fired. When they arrived, police found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Perard was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
A second victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries. His condition was not provided.
Crist was later located and arrested on first-degree murder and attempted murder charges.
