Following 2-Year Coma WV Woman Makes ‘Miraculous Recovery’ Fingers Brother In Brutal Attack

JACKSON COUNTY, WV. (THECOUNT) — Wanda Palmer, of Ravenswood, West Virginia, was found outside her home seriously injured in a 2020 attack that left her in a two-year Coma. Though Palmer was not giving much of a chance of reawakening, she beat the odds making a what doctors are calling a “miraculous recovery.”

Palmer was discovered on June 10, 2020, by lawn care workers suffering from severe head injuries.

According to Eileen Palmer, Wanda’s mother, gardners found Wanda in a “pool of blood” in the front yard area of her home.

“They came that morning to mow her grass and found her in a pool of blood,” said Eileen Palmer, Wanda Palmer’s mother.

When Wanda awakened from her two-year coma, she identified her brother, Daniel Palmer, as her attacker.

The sheriff’s office said Daniel Palmer has been arrested in the incident and facing charges that include attempted murder.
