CUMBERLAND COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Bates, of Lewiston, Maine, and recently New York, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Cumberland County, Maine Friday.
Bates, 30, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Falmouth Friday morning.
According to reports, Bates was operating a Toyota Highlander on Interstate 95/ Maine Turnpike near Hurricane Road in Falmouth, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a concrete overpass bridge around 5 a.m. Friday.
Bates was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
