DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Kentarius Carpenter, of Memphis, Tennessee, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Thursday fatal vehicle strike in Davidson County.
Carpenter, 31, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Nashville Thursday morning.
According to reports, Carpenter was on-foot in the area of the 3900 block of Apache Trail in Antioch, when he was struck by a Ford Focus around 7 a.m. Thursday.
The involved vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with arriving officials.
Carpenter was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Metro police say there were no signs of impairment at the scene.
