WASHINGTON COUNTY, RI. (THECOUNT) — Bryan Bailey, of Westerly, Rhode Island, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night motorcycle crash in Washington County.
Bailey, 32, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Westerly Tuesday night.
According to reports, police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on two motorcycles on Atlantic Avenue near Weekapaug Road around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Both bikes refused to stop and fled the scene.
Police then found Bailey’s crashed motorcycle about a half mile away.
Bailey was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unknown why the riders fled the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
