SPOKANE COUNTY, WA. (THECOUNT) — Chase Patrick Eddy, of Ephrata, Washington, has been identified as the suspect killed following a Tuesday police chase in Spokane County.
Eddy, 28, was killed while fleeing from police on a motorcycle in Spokane Valley Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Troopers were conducting a traffic stop on a Yamaha motorcycle on Mansfield Avenue near North Pines Road in Spokane Valley, when the bike fled the scene. At some point during the chase, the motorcycle, operated by Eddy, came into contact with a Honda Fit.
Eddy was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unknown why Eddy fled the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
