DEKALB COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Joseph Shane Wooten, of Rainsville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday fatal motorcycle crash in DeKalb County.
Wooten, 51, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash involving a deer near Rainsville early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Wooten was operating a motorcycle on CR-81 aka Dogtown Road, when the bike came into contact with a deer Wednesday morning.
Wooten was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
