NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Jeremy Porter Bischoff of New Haven, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Monday fatal vehicle crash in New Haven County.

Bischoff, 34, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Wallingford early Monday.

According to reports, Bischoff was operating a Kia Soul on Interstate 91 near Exit 13 in Wallingford, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a commercial truck around 2 a.m. Monday. The vehicle then came into contact with a metal cable barrier.

Bischoff, who was a drummer and singer, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
