IREDELL COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Eric Lamont Overcash, of Statesville, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a deadly Friday night motorcycle crash in Iredell County.
Overcash, 58, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Statesville Friday night.
According to reports, Overcash was operating a motorcycle crash on Interstate 77 near mile marker 47 in Statesville, when the bike came into read-end contact with a Chevrolet pickup truck around 6 p.m. Friday.
The motorcycle then flipped over ejecting Overcash.
Overcash was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The Chevrolet truck driver was uninjured in the collision.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
