HINDS COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Marlon McDonald, of Port Gibson, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash in Hinds County.
McDonald, 47, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Port Gibson Thursday morning.
According to reports, McDonald was operating a Chevrolet Corvette on Highway 18, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 9:45 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
McDonald, who was ejected during the crash, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
This cause of the crash remains under investigation.
