LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Kristen Taylor of Walker, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday vehicle crash in Lafourche Parish.
Taylor, 29, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Lockport Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Taylor was operating a Kia Optima on LA Highway 308 near Amoco Road in Lockport, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a utility pole.
Taylor was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
