DUKES COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Micah Philip Anderson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday vehicle crash in Dukes County, Massachusetts.
Anderson, 28, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Martha’s Vineyard early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Anderson was operating a Pontiac Grand Am on East Chop Drive near Temahigan Avenue in Vineyard Haven, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:50 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a guardrail before striking a grouping of trees.
Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The passenger involved in the wreck suffered unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
