ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Davonta Croker of Smithfield, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Isle of Wight County.
Croker, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Carrollton early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Croker was operating a Chevy Camaro on Brewers Neck Boulevard in Carrollton, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway round 1 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees.
Croker was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
