Chris Rock Spotted First Time Since Slap Heard Around The World

BOSTON, MA. (THECOUNT) — Chris Rock was spotted for the first time since getting his clock cleaned by actor Will Smith at the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday.

Rock, 57, was struck in the face onstage by Will Smith after making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.

The comedian was spotted Tuesday in Boston ahead of the five sold-out shows he is set to perform before kicking off his Ego Death World Tour. He was seen wearing a gray hoodie under a blue jacket, with gray sweatpants and a dark cap, reports People.

In a TMZ poll Monday – On what was possibly the most shocking moment in Oscar history – An equally shocking 82 percent of people think Will Smith committed Assault and Battery, after the actor slapped comedian Chris Rock live on-air Sunday night.

Out of over 30,000 votes as of Monday morning, a whopping 82 percent said they thought Smith should be held liable for the slap heard around the world.

You can’t make this S up! A sobbing Will Smith, who was accepting the award for best actor, shared a “message of love,” just moments after clocking presenter Chris Rock violently with an open hand live on-air.

“In what appears to be a moment entirely not scripted, Will Smith then got out of his seat and took to the stage, slapping Rock before returning to his seat. Though ABC silenced the audio, Smith could be seen yelling “Keep my wife’s name out of your f-cking mouth,” as Rock tried to continue his monologue, reports ComicBook.”

With tears streaming down his face, Smith stood to address the crowd after winning Best Actor,

“I’m being called on in my life to love people and to protect people, and to be a river to my people. I know to do what we do, you gotta be able to take abuse, have people talk crazy about you.”

Shocking video has emerged from Japanese television showing a violent Will Smith attack Chris Rock as he told jokes and presented an award for Best Documentary at the Oscars.

Via TMZ:

“Will never apologized to Rock, saying, “I want to apologize to The Academy and my fellow nominees. This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award, it’s not about winning an award for me. It’s about being able to shine a light on all of the people.””
