COVINGTON COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Chaniquel Hathorn, of Prentiss, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night vehicle crash in Covington County.
Hathorn, 28, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Prentiss Thursday night.
According to reports, Hathorn was operating a Ford Fusion on Highway 84 near Prentiss, when the vehicle came into contact with a Kia Rio around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Hathorn was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The other involved driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
