JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jeremiah Pruitt, of Birmingham, Alabama, has been identified as the teen fatally shot inside a Jefferson County home on Tuesday night.
Pruitt, 13, was fatally shot inside a residence in Birmingham Tuesday night.
According to reports, Pruitt was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a home, located at 1500 51st Street Ensley in Birmingham around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Pruitt was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Authorities say the nature of the fatal incident remains unclear.
Birmingham police are investigating.
