MARICOPA COUNTY, ZA. (THECOUNT) — Jeffrey Williams, of Mesa, Arizona, has been identified as the father arrested in connection with the shooting death of his son, Adam, Sunday in Maricopa County.

“Jeff” Williams was arrested after police found his son, Adam Williams, 19, shot dead in the family residence on Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, 911 Dispatch received a call Sunday around 12:30 p.m. from Jeff Williams who confessed to shooting his teen son, adam, in the family home.

A witness, located from inside the house, confirmed the father had informed officers, adding that Adam could be found lying in his own bed.

Adam was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries at a local hospital.

Jeffrey was booked into jail for one count 1st Degree Murder-DV, ARS 13-1105A1, a class one felony and held on a $1,000,000 bond.
