DUBOIS COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Landon Mattingly has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal vehicle crash in Dubois County, Indiana.
Mattingly, 18, was killed and the other driver, 17-year-old Corbyn Musick, was critically injured, following a two-vehicle crash near Jasper late Friday morning.
According to reports, Mattingly was operating a vehicle on East Jasper Dubois Road in Jasper, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 11 a.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with the vehicle operated by Musick.
Mattingly was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
Musick was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
