MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — The Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida was evacuated Wednesday night due to an ‘ongoing incident,’ officials said.
The nature of the incident was not disclosed.
“Out of an abundance of caution, Homestead Air Reserve Base evacuated personnel from base due to an ongoing incident,” base officials wrote in a statement posted to social media. “Please avoid the area of SW 137 Ave to Waterstone Blvd from SW 288 St to 312 St. Residents within this area, please remain in your homes. We will provide updates as they become available,” reports Breaking911.
