ASCENSION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Chapman, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal vehicle crash in Ascension Parish.
Chapman, 34, was killed in a single-vehicle near Prairieville early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Chapman was operating a Honda Accord on Interstate 10 west of LA-73 near Prairieville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The Honda then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Chapman was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
