ORANGE COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Arthur Charych, of Setauket, New York, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday helicopter crash in Orange County.
Charych, 73, died following a helicopter crash near Cornwall Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Charych was piloting a Robinson R44 Raven helicopter, when the aircraft went down around 2:30 p.m. Sunday near Storm King Mountain in Cornwall.
Charych, who was the sole occupant of the helicopter, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
