MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — A report of an active shooter Thursday night has prompted the lockdown of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Montgomery County, Ohio.
The lockdown was reported around 9:20 p.m.
Dayton base officials said there are reports of an active shooter in building 856, which is located in the NASIC area of the base.
Security forces are currently sweeping the building, according to a Facebook post from the 88th Air Base Wing’s Facebook page.
