WILL COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Miranda Rivera, of Joliet, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Will County.
Rivera, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Lockport Township Thursday morning.
According to reports, Rivera was operating a vehicle on Bruce Road near South State Street in Fairmont, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5 a.m. Thursday.
Rivera was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The Illinois State Police are investigating the accident.
