WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — Floyd Ray Roseberry, of Grover, North Carolina, is reportedly the alleged suspect seated inside a parked pickup truck outside the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Roseberry, 49, was identified as the man in a suspicious vehicle, with an alleged explosive device, who made a bomb threat outside the Library of Congress on Thursday.
The threat is currently ongoing. The incident has caused the evacuation of several Congressional buildings and the Supreme Court.
Police responded to reports of an explosive device in a truck parked outside the Library of Congress on First Street SE, according to multiple reports. The U.S. Capitol Police initially tweeted that they were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle, and later updated to describe it as an “active bomb threat investigation.”
