SMITH COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Michael Lee Tucker, of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal shooting and subsequent vehicle crash in Smith County.
Tucker, 29, was killed in a shooting and resulting single-vehicle crash in Tyler Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Tucker was operating a Ford pickup truck on East Front Street near South Palmer Avenue in Tyler, when the vehicle exited the roadway and came into contact with a utility pole around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
It was later discovered, Tucker was suffering from gunshot wounds at the time of the crash.
Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined Tucker was shot at a residence in the 200 block of South Palmer Ave.
No suspect or motive information was provided by officials at this time.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
