ST. JAMES PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Cassidy Boutte, of Gonzales, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal vehicle crash in St. James Parish.
Boutte, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Gramercy Saturday night.
According to reports, Boutte was operating a Nissan Versa on US Hwy 61 south of Interstate 10 in St. James Parish, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Boutte was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
