LINN COUNTY, OR. (THECOUNT) — Peggy Mitchell, of Eugene, Oregon, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday fatal motorcycle crash in Linn County.
Mitchell, 58, was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Foster Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Mitchell was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle on OR-22 near Lower Downing Creek Falls in Marion Forks, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The bike then traveled down an embankment.
Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
