EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — David Copening, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been identified as the pedestrian in a fatal hit-and-run vehicle collision early Thursday morning.
Copening, 41, was killed after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver early Thursday morning in East Baton Rouge Parish.
According to reports, Copening was on-foot in the area of Joor Road near Mickens Road, when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Copening was pronounced dad at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
