JEFFERSON COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Travis Haenel, of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday motorcycle crash in Jefferson County.
Haenel, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Brookville Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Haenel was operating a motorcycle on PA-36 in Brookville, when the bike came into contact with a passenger vehicle around 12:15 p.m. Monday.
A passenger traveling on the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Haenel was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
