SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Frank Panzarella, of Commack, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday vehicle crash in Suffolk County.

Panzarella, 41, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Commack Saturday morning.

According to reports, Panzarella was operating a BMW on Suffolk County Vanderbilt Parkway near Shinbone Lane, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:50 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees.

Panzarella was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
