TULSA, OK. (THECOUNT) — Dr. Eric Jayne has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday vehicle crash in North Dakota.

Jayne, 61, a veterinarian and Humane Society of Tulsa medical director, was killed in a vehicle crash on Saturday.

The Humane Society of Tulsa announced its veterinarian was killed in a crash in North Dakota this morning:

“Today the Humane Society of Tulsa, and all of animal welfare, suffered a tragic loss.

Dr Eric Jayne, our veterinarian, our medical director, our mentor and most importantly our dear friend was tragically killed in an automobile accident in North Dakota this morning.

Dr Jayne was an integral part of the HST family. His presence, guidance and amazing commitment led our team to affect the lives of so many animals and families in our community.

Rest in Peace Dr Jayne, we will miss you beyond words and our lives have been forever changed by having you a part of us.

Please join us in praying for Dr Jayne’s family, Sally Cooper Smith and the others affected by this tragedy.
