Reports say, Biz Markie, the “Clown Prince of Hip Hop,” has passed away at the age of 57. As recently stated by journalist Roland Martin on social media, this is not the case per Markie’s wife Tara:
“Folks, @BizMarkie has NOT died. I have been in contact with sources who are texting and talking to his wife. My source talked to Biz TODAY. Per his wife, Biz HAS NOT passed away. Please stop responding to non-credible sources. This hurts the family, friends and fans.”
In a fairly recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Big Daddy Kane gave a positive update on Markie’s health following a stroke months prior:
“He’s in rehabilitation now. He’s getting better and stronger every day. Last time I talked to him on the phone, he got a real light voice, but last time I talked on the phone. He stuck his middle finger up at me, so I think he’s coming along.”
