LINCOLN COUNTY, NE. (THECOUNT) — Dylan Skeen and Kerri Bernstrauch, both of Holdrege, Nebraska, have been identified as the victims in a Tuesday morning double-fatal vehicle crash in Lincoln County.
Skeen, 29, and Bernstrauch, 36, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Holdrege Monday morning.
According to reports, Skeen was operating a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 6 near Holdrege, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a Dodge Grand Caravan, operated by Bernstrauch.
Skeen transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Bernstrauch was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A child passenger in the Grand Caravan was also transported with unknown serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
