Hutchinson was killed with the help of Gosney’s boyfriend, 42-year-old James Hamilton, who later dumped the boy’s lifeless body in the Ohio River near Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Officials say there is a high level of probability that a body has been located in that area, based on sonar and a cadaver dog detection.

A police report states that Gosney drove her kids, ages 9, 7 and 6, to Rush Run Park in Preble County around 3 a.m. on Feb. 27, according to WLWT.

Gosney tells police that her boyfriend, Hamilton, was pressuring her to get rid of her children. Investigators believe it was her intention to leave all three children at the park.

“Brittany stated she had planned to get the kids out of the vehicle and to leave them behind as Hamilton had been pressuring her to get rid of the kids. When doing this, the 6-year-old, Hutchinson, grabbed onto the door handle. Brittany slammed the gas trying to leave the kids and drug Hutchinson possibly running him over,” according to the police report.

The report goes on to say that Gosney went back to check on her son and he was dead. She told police she loaded the other two children in the car with James’ body and returned to their home on Crawford Street in Hamilton.

Police say she put her son’s body in a spare bedroom upstairs.

After the other two children went to sleep, police say Gosney and Hamilton drove to the Interstate 275 bridge near Lawrenceburg.

Police believe the pair dumped the 6-year-old’s body in the Ohio River and left. His body has not yet been found.
