CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Murray State University has issued a shelter in place order for students and staff members in the Calloway County area school.

A Racer Alert from the school says there’s been an incident next to the Murray campus.

“A message from MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY:

There has been an incident reported next to campus. Residential colleges need to shelter in place at this time. All others avoid the area of Chestnut and the foot bridge.”

The University is asking students to stay in their residence halls until further notice and asking people to avoid the Chestnut area and foot bridge on the campus.
