SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Multiple pedestrians have been injured Monday morning after they were struck by a vehicle that drove on the San Diego City College Bridge sidewalk.

The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.

According to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, assigned units include: 2 BLSs, 4 Admins, 2 Medical Supervisors, 1 Info Unit, 1 Helo, 5 Engines, 7 Medics, 1 DivChief, 2 Batt Chs, 2 Trucks, 1 Rescue, and 2 Chaplains. A total of 64 personnel have been assigned.

The incident occurred in the 1400 block of B Street in downtown San Diego’s East Village neighborhood, according to San Diego police.

According to police, a vehicle drove up on sidewalk. The driver of the vehicle has been detained.

Police said to avoid the surrounding area during the investigation.
