Malik Halfacre Shot 4 Dead Including Child After Baby Mama Denied Half Stimulus Money

MARION COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Malik Halfacre shot and killed four people because he was denied half of babymama, Jeanettrius Moore‘s, recent $1,400 stimulus check, according to family members.

Halfacre, the father of “TrustNone” Moore’s youngest baby, believed he should get half of the check, and when he was only offered $450, he shot and killed 7-year-old Eve Moore, 23-year-old Dequan Moore, 35-year-old Anthony Johnson and 44-year-old Tomeeka Brown.

“He wanted some of Jeanettrius’ tax money, stimulus money,” said Wendy Johnson, a cousin who heard Jeanettrius’ account of what led up to a quadruple murder at an Indianapolis home Saturday night.

Johnson said she was told that the day before the shooting Halfacre told Moore “he wanted half of her money.”

“She said, ‘No, you don’t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You don’t do anything,’” Johnson recalled.

After he insisted, Johnson said Moore relented, offering $450 – but that wasn’t enough. Johnson said Halfacre vowed to “get that money.”

Indianapolis police arrested 25-year-old Halfacre, on Sunday in Marion County.

According to reports, police responded to call of an injured woman at an Indianapolis intersection. When they arrived, a female was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The woman informed police of the quadruple-shooting, as well as the abduction of a 6-month-old girl. Moore is the woman injured in the shooting.

Moore was transported to an area to a hospital, where she was last listed as being in stable condition.

Once at the residence referenced by the injured woman, located at, 338 North Randolph Street in Indianapolis, officers found four victims, including a child, all dead of gunshot injuries.

Police eventually located the baby girl who had gone missing from that home. Officials did not say where the baby was found.

Authorities said the shootings are a domestic-related in nature.
