KIOWA COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Jordan Hamilton Stauth, of Greensburg, Kansas, has been identified as the victim in a Wednesday afternoon vehicle crash in Kiowa County.
Stauth, 37, was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-tractor, Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Stauth was operating a Buick Enclave SUV on US-54 in Greensburg, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Kenworth big-rig, operated by Richard M. Moyer, 74, of Haviland. The Buick then burst into flames.
Stauth, originally from Chickasha, Oklahoma, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma and thermal injuries.
Moyer was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
