LAVACA COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Kristy Turner, of Hallettsville, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a Friday vehicle crash in Lavaca County.
Turner, 35, a pregnant mother of three children, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Hallettsville on Friday.
According to reports, Slaviano Loredo-Maldonado was operating a pickup truck on Highway 77, when the vehicle came into contact with a vehicle operated by Turner on Friday.
Both Turner and her unborn child were killed in the crash
Loredo-Maldonado was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. He was then detained and later turned over to United States Border Patrol agents.
The cause of the crash, possibly ice related, remains under investigation.
