JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Blake Berry Jr., of Hoover, Alabama, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Saturday night in a Jefferson County hit-and-run.
Berry, 32, was struck and killed by a vehicle near Birmingham Saturday night.
According to reports, Berry was on-foot when he was struck by a passing vehicle on Interstate 459 in the area of Mile Marker 17. The vehicle then fled the scene around 10 p.m. Saturday.
Berry was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
