SHELBY COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Omar Hooper, of Collierville, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday morning fatal vehicle crash in Shelby County.
Hooper, 22, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Memphis early Tuesday.
According to reports, Hooper was operating a vehicle near N 2nd St and Whitney Ave in the Frayser community of Memphis, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree and rolled over.
Hooper was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
