RANKIN COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Tyler Stewart, of Morton, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Rankin County.
Stewart, 26, was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle crash near Richland early Thursday morning.
According to reports, Stewart was riding as a passenger in a Ford F-150 pickup truck on Interstate 20 near the I-55 ramp in Richland, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and wrecked early Thursday morning.
Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Another passenger was uninjured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
