OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Michael Thornton, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday morning motorcycle crash in Oklahoma County.
Thornton, 26, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a semi-tractor in Oklahoma City early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Thornton was operating a motorcycle on Interstate 35 near Northeast 23rd Street in Oklahoma City, when the bike rear-ended a big-rig around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Thornton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver was of the semi was uninjured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
