NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Ira Caraway from Tenaha, Texas, Vanessa Sowell and Damien Davis, of Garrison, Texas, and Christian Dodd, of Center, Texas, have been identified as the victims of a Friday morning quadruple-fatal vehicle crash in Nacogdoches County.
Caraway, 63, Sowell, 32, Davis, 41 and 31-year-old Dodd, were all killed in a head-on crash near Appleby early Friday morning.
According to reports, Caraway was operating a Nissan on US Highway 59 near Appleby, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 3:30 a.m. Friday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Chevrolet, operated by Sowell.
Caraway, Sowell and her passengers, Davis and Dodd, were pronounced dead at the scene.
