SHELBY COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — James Plant, of Wilsonville, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night fatal vehicle crash in Shelby County.
Plant, 44, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Wilsonville Sunday night.
According to reports, Plant was operating a newer model Audi A4 on Highway 55 near Wilsonville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Sunday night. The vehicle then entered a culvert and wrecked.
Plant was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
